Woooooooo another gift from Sufjan! Can’t wait!
Driving up to San Francisco again right now with David Lekach. Except this time I’m going up to help David move up there and I’m driving home alone. :(
All the best to you, David! You’re sitting right next to me right now but it’s okay. Good luck with school and everything. Love you, buddy!
The Good News
I just got back from Phoot Camp about two weeks ago or so. It was one of the best experiences and I’m so thankful for it. I met a ton of really talented photographers and awesome people in general. You can check out some of my Phoot Camp photos I posted so far here. Special thanks goes out to Laura Brunow Miner, creator of Pictory, who invited me to this year’s Phoot Camp and Brad Smith of Virb who sponsored the whole trip.
As you know, I just moved into my new place last week. It’s exciting to have my first real OWN place (with Dawn). Dawn and I rented a Uhaul truck the other day just for a trip to Ikea. We’re turning our living room into a work space so we got two desk with four a-stands. We’re going to separate the kitchen from the workspace area with a large bookshelf. I can’t wait to get it all together, decorate, and see how it all turns out! I really want to get a projector for the place but it’s pretty pricey so that’s going to have to wait. I can’t wait to go get plants but that’s going to have to wait after our trips.
I recently assisted/tagged along some shoots with Derek Wood. They were really great and helpful. I learned a good amount in just two shoots. The one big thing being— watch the fuck out for tether cords. I am so sorry again, Derek! I will never ever let that go and I owe you my life. Anyways, check out his work because he is reallly talented and one of the most awesome down to earth people ever! Truth.
I’m going to San Francisco today (or I’m supposed to at least) till Thursday and New York this Saturday till September 8th. Not sure about San Francisco because of some bullll tonight but whatever. We’ll figure it out tomorrow. Anyways, Dawn and I are totally not ready for New York and can’t believe we’re going to be there in a matter of days. Our brains refuse to process that information. I’m sure it’ll be great though but it’s all stressing me out because I have other stuff I’m worrying about.
More good news in person!
The Bad News
MY FREAKING CAR GOT BROKE INTO. AT MY PLACE. AND IT HASN’T EVEN BEEN A WEEK. My navigation and ipod got stolen which sucks. My windows still not fixed and I have to go do that which is a huge pain. I’ve already been to that damn ghetto ass street with all the Mexican glass repair/auto shops behind Union Station twice! TWICE! I’m almost so over it and just want to go to the dealership and pay a ridiculous amount of money. I’m going to try one more time tomorrow.
I feel like I have horrible karma these days but something changed my mind about that but we’ll see! I need good karma more than ever!
The whole damn process of getting your car broken into, fixing the windows, dealing with the apartment managers, and dealing with insurance companies sucks major BALLS.
BALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLS
I just hired movers. I can’t deal with this alone.
Super bummed I didn’t get to meet this guy. Daniel came and stayed at my house while I was back visiting my hometown. I really love the photographs he took of my housemates.
I’m really bummed about it too and for the same reason! Funny how that works… Loved all your photos around your place! Anyways, it’s cool though because I may come up in a week or so to help David move up there. If not, in a month for sure for Love Fest or whatever the fuck it’s called now!!!

It’s my last night in my room and I’m going to miss a lot of things about it, like the color of the walls, the metal magnetic sheet above my bed, and not to mention the size of the room itself. It’s 1:39 AM right now and I’m STILL packing. I regret that I started packing only 2 days ago. I still have a lot to pack so updates about my new place soon! I’m really excited to move in with Dawn; we just went to Ikea tonight and pretty much chose out things we wanted. CHANGES ARE HAPPENING, PEOPLE.
